So here's to blogging. I have an exam tomorrow, so what better time to start a new blog?
To be fair, I have just got a new laptop. The old one allowed for browsing only one website at a time, and god forbid I clicked on a YouTube link and sent it in to overdrive. But with this one, I can have Adobe Reader, IE and Skype all open at the same time. Wonders never cease.
And what's this been inspired by? The boy in my life is an aspiring writer, and whilst I can't say I'll ever reach the successes he's capable of, reading his stuff has reminded me of how much I used to write. And how much I enjoyed it. Admittedly, I didn't go beyond daily diary entries, a series of short scenes in a Sweet Valley-esque world and English Literature essays. But there was something oddly satisfying about mind-dumps, romantic schoolgirl fantasies and pretentious arguments about Tennessee William's characterisation of Blanche Dubois.
